About Selangor
The state around Kuala Lumpur, with the most new launches in Malaysia and a large share of landed homes
Selangor wraps around Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya and has more new launches than any other state. High-rise projects cluster in the established towns near rail lines, such as Petaling Jaya, Subang Jaya and Shah Alam, while landed estates make up most launches further out in Sepang, Klang, Kuala Langat and Hulu Langat.
Rail reaches much of the state: the MRT Kajang and Putrajaya lines, the LRT Kelana Jaya line, the LRT Shah Alam line (open since June 2026), the KTM Komuter lines to Port Klang and Seremban, and the KLIA Transit through Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
Many launches are Rumah Selangorku homes, the state's affordable housing scheme. These have price caps and buyer eligibility rules, and resale is restricted for a set period.
