About George Town

Penang's capital on the island, where new launches are mostly condominiums and serviced residences

The George Town listings cover much of Penang Island, from the city centre and Tanjong Pinang to Tanjung Bungah, Bukit Jambul and Teluk Kumbar in the south. The historic centre is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so new building happens mainly outside it.

Land is scarce, so most launches are condominiums and serviced residences. The Mutiara Line LRT, under construction and targeted for December 2031, will run from near the airport through Bayan Lepas to Komtar in the city centre and across to Penang Sentral on the mainland.
