Bangsar is one of Kuala Lumpur's most established neighbourhoods, next to KL Sentral and Mid Valley, from Bukit Bandaraya and Telawi to Jalan Bangsar and Federal Hill. New launches are serviced residences and condominiums. Bangsar South, around Kampung Kerinchi, has its own page.

The LRT Kelana Jaya line stops at Bangsar and Abdullah Hukum, KL Sentral is one stop from Bangsar, and the Federal Highway and Sprint pass the area.
