New property launches in KL Timur, Kuala Lumpur

KL East, a planned township in the city's north-east with terrace houses and high-rise homes

KL Timur covers KL East, a planned township by Sime Darby Property next to Taman Melati and the foothills of the Klang Gates. Launches include terrace houses, which are rare in Kuala Lumpur, as well as condominiums and serviced residences.

The LRT Kelana Jaya line ends at Gombak, with Taman Melati one stop away, and the MRR2 and DUKE pass the township.

• Landed homes inside Kuala Lumpur are scarce; compare with landed launches in Gombak and Ampang just across the border
• Townships open in phases; check which roads, parks and shops are already built
• Check the walk or feeder bus to the LRT, as parts of the township are some way from the stations
