Gelang Patah sits on the western edge of Iskandar Puteri, at the Malaysian end of the Second Link to Singapore, near Forest City. New launches are terrace houses.

There is no rail line; the Second Link Expressway links the town to Singapore's Tuas, Iskandar Puteri and the North-South Expressway.
